Margaret Chiavetta received a B.A degree in anthropology in 2005 and spent several years working with monkeys. In 2014 she graduated with a MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics from University of Washington Bothell. She is the author of the MG fantasy novel, Sir Duffy’s Promise, the first book of The Alchemist’s Theorem series. Chiavetta’s work has received positive accolades from MuggleNet, the #1 Harry Potter fan site, Kirkus Reviews, and Middle Shelf Magazine. Currently, she is working on the second Alchemist’s Theorem book as well as an urban fantasy novel. She has worked as a QA editor, and now works for Amazon Publishing in design production. She lives in Seattle.
